The rain has made the little field green and beautiful. The wet creeks are full and Slaughter Creek is running high. The deer were on the prowl for lingering acorns this morning. They are less interested in the corn feeders while acorns are dropping.

An owl began hooting just as the sun was setting tonight. The mate was answering from a large oak in the front yard. Im not sure which species they are but they sure do hoot a lot – almost every evening right now. It is a soothing sound that promotes peace. It makes me wish I spoke owl speak. 🙂 It sure was a nice way to wrap up the day, as the sun was setting. 3A949A7A-023A-41D6-8443-C1403ACD220F.jpeg
